David A LombardoDesign, maintenance, operation and use of firearms and levels of force relating to the use of firearms for personal protection; range safety and standard operating procedures; and training program design and implementation.

David is president of SAFER USA, a Chicago based firearms training school that has trained about 8,000 students since it opened in October 2006. He holds the NRA Range Development & Operations Certificate, and is an NRA Training Counselor certified to teach and to train and certify instructors to teach: Basic Pistol, Shotgun and Rifle; Home Firearm Safety; Personal Protection in the Home; Personal Protection Outside the Home; and Metallic Cartridge & Shotgun Shell Reloading.

He is an NRA Regional Refuse To Be A Victim Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer and Law Enforcement Instructor. He is also a State of Illinois Certified Firearms Instructor and Concealed Carry Instructor, Utah Concealed Carry Instructor, tactical instructor and specializes in the use of force for self defense and in cases of home invasion.

Since September 2012 David has been the executive producer and co-host of On Target Radio, a live audience participation talk show that airs on Chicago’s #1 conservative talk radio station AM560 THE ANSWER and on YouTube.com/OnTargetRadio. David and co-hosts Gretchen Fritz  and Eric Allen discuss the red meat issues that affect your life from gun control to freedom of speech.

David has many years’ experience in video production including executive producing, script writing and directing. He has also worked all over the world as an on camera news anchor and is both teleprompter and ear prompter proficient. If the optimum demonstration is not allowed in the courtroom, we can do a video production anywhere on location.

David holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in education and technical training from the University of Illinois, has taught high school and was an assistant professor at Lousiana Tech University, associate professor and department head at Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and academic dean at Lewis University.

David is a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He served as a sworn, armed auxiliary deputy for nearly two years in Ohio and for 17 years with Will County, Illinois. David was the executive director of the annual Clyde Howell NRA Youth Shooting Sports Camp for youth ages 10-16 for 18 years; past president (Oct ’11 – Jan ’20) of the 2500 member, 283 acre Aurora Sportsmen’s Club; is a life member, on the Board of Directors and vice president of the Illinois State Rifle Association, an Endowment Life Member of the National Rifle Association; and a lifelong upland, waterfowl and big game hunter.
